Our kids grow amazingly quick, and there are times some of us prefer they grow an inch slower because every end of the season, we find ourselves in malls looking for new clothes with different sizes. As a result, we end up having a bunch of old outfits at home, some that we end up dumping or donating or giving to our family friends, and some still have tags attached, you know what I mean. This is one of the reasons the Schoola.com concept is so appealing to all us parents out there. Several parents who have had experiences with the site have expressed satisfaction, but that’s not to say there aren’t those who had a bad experience, so here is a non-biased Schoola review.
What is Schoola and How Does It Work?
Schoola is an online shop that allows you to buy your favorite gently-used clothes at a very low price. They have your favorite brands as well! Schoola allows you to donate used outfits while giving back to local schools, i.e. a portion of every purchase that you make goes to a local school. If you want to donate on the site, all you need is to request a donation bag, and within few days, you will receive a postage paid bag, that you will fill with gently worn clothes and indicate the school you would like to receive the credit. UPS will pick the bag, and that’s all it takes. This is a win-win concept to those who have donated the unwanted clothes, the school that receives the donation and those who buy the clothes.
You can select everything on the site, outerwear, sweaters, pants; everything, but unfortunately the selection is a little limited. You might not find a brand you need or the size you want but all in all, if when you do, you will get quality clothes here, especially when searching for younger kids’ clothes. A few parents’ reviews indicate that you can get splendid tops and sweaters on the site.
Unlike many online shopping sites where you wait for days before your stuff are delivered, Schoola will deliver your purchased items within few days. Few have complained that clothes took a week or so, but there aren’t very many so it doesn’t seem to be the norm. The items you buy come in a bag, not a box which is pretty an advantage when compared to other sites.
The quality of the items you get will not be out of the question because they are sorted out before being posted for sale. Sometimes the descriptions of the items aren’t very complete. However you can see the items through all the pictures they post as well. The prices are deeply discounted, up to 90 percent off retail prices. If you make larger purchases, you have an advantage of free shipping. They also have a referral program that allows you to get $15 credit, so much better than other sites I have come across.
Schoola has its own sets of disadvantages, and few complaints about shipments and selection but the advantages the site offers to all the parties involved makes it worth checking out. That advantages in my opinion outweigh and negatives. Plus most people have only positive things to say about the site. You will get fantastic deals and discounts as well. I love Schoola’s idea; it’s a great, generous way of donating something to your school while at the same time saving some bucks on your end.
